What examiners said

Many candidates were able to identify the forces with the strongest candidates supporting their knowledge with clearly explained effects applied to the runner.

— Examiner report, May/June 2025, 0413/11 Q9(a) (Cambridge)

A number of candidates were given credit for identifying the two concepts of force and many were also able to give an appropriate definition. A common error was defining mass as the weight of an object and not including an increase in speed or velocity in the definition of acceleration.

— Examiner report, May/June 2023, 0413/12 Q13(a) (Cambridge)

This was a very well answered question. Most candidates identified two forces and generally applied them correctly to a sprinter.

— Examiner report, May/June 2023, 0413/13 Q8(b) (Cambridge)
