AssessPro (getassesspro.com) is run by Edubbey. This page explains what we collect when you use AssessPro, why, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and how you can see or delete it. Questions: info@edubbey.com.
Without an account
You can browse and download past papers without signing in. We keep ordinary server logs (address, browser and the page asked for) for a limited time, for security and to fix faults. We do not use advertising trackers.
With an account
- Your account: name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), the kind of account (student, parent, teacher) and, if you choose, your school and classes.
- Your work: answers you type, write or photograph, the marks and feedback they receive, tests and work you set or are set, and your progress by topic.
- Tokens and payments: your token balance and purchases. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Signing in with Google (where offered): we receive your name, email address and that Google has verified it — nothing else.
- Cookies and storage: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and settings such as light or night mode in your browser. Papers you save for offline use are kept in your browser.
- Arriving from one of our YouTube videos: when you follow a link in a video’s description, two cookies note which video it was (for 30 days) and give your browser a random visitor number (for a year). They let us count, per video, how many visits, sign-ups and token purchases it brought — never who you are. If you make an account, it remembers the video that brought you.
Why we use it
To run your account; to mark answers and show progress; to let teachers and schools see the work of the pupils in their own classes (and parents their own children’s); to send the emails you have asked for (such as reports and password resets — each can be switched off); to take payments; and to keep the service secure.
Marking and explanations by computer
Some answers are marked, and some explanations written, by computer language models. To do this the text of the question, the mark scheme and the answer is sent to the model provider we use for that task (such as Groq, Google Gemini or DeepSeek), without your name or email address. We do not allow it to be used to identify you.
Who can see your information
- Your teachers see the work of pupils in their classes; your school’s administrators see their school’s accounts; parents see the children linked to them.
- Service providers who run parts of AssessPro for us: hosting (Hetzner, in the EU), Cloudflare (network and security), Stripe (payments), our email provider, and the model providers above.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We disclose information if the law requires it.
YouTube (for teachers who publish videos)
Teachers who make lesson videos in AssessPro’s video studio can connect their own YouTube channel to publish them. AssessPro uses YouTube API Services for this. By connecting a channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- What AssessPro asks for: permission to upload videos to your channel (
youtube.upload); to read your channel’s name, your videos and their privacy status (youtube.readonly); and to read your channel’s YouTube Analytics reports (yt-analytics.readonly) and, if you allow it, estimated earnings (yt-analytics-monetary.readonly). - Why the analytics: to show you, in the video studio’s Plan, which of your videos viewers watch, where they stop, which searches find you, and which topics to make next. Only you (the channel’s owner in AssessPro) see these numbers.
- What we keep: your channel’s id, name and picture, and an access token that Google issues so uploads can happen — stored encrypted. For each video you publish: its YouTube id, title, chapters and privacy, so AssessPro can show it to pupils on the right topic. Read once a night: each of your videos’ title, length, views, watch time, share watched, subscribers gained, earnings (if allowed) and viewer curve; your channel’s totals for the last 28 days and views by month; and the search terms that brought viewers — kept until the next night’s read replaces them.
- What we do not do: we never read, change or delete anything else on your channel, and we never use your YouTube data for advertising or share it with anyone. The video file goes from your browser straight to YouTube; it is not stored on AssessPro’s servers.
- Your control: press Disconnect in the video studio to delete the stored token at once (the stored analytics are deleted with it). You can also remove AssessPro’s access at any time in your Google account’s third-party connections (or security settings). Videos you published stay on YouTube under your control.
- How long: the token is kept until you disconnect, close your AssessPro account, or Google stops accepting it — then it is deleted. A published video’s record is kept until you remove it from your videos in AssessPro.
Children
AssessPro is used by secondary-school pupils. Where a school sets up its pupils’ accounts, it does so as the school, under its own duty of care. We collect only what is needed for learning and marking, and pupils’ work is visible only to them, their teachers, their school and their linked parents.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you close your account (Account → Close my account) your personal details are removed (and any connected YouTube channel disconnected), and your work is no longer linked to you; payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to info@edubbey.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and its date, and tell account holders by email when the change matters. See also About & copyright.
