What examiners said
Most candidates also scored full marks on this part with a few gaining just the method mark for showing the steps of their working clearly, but then making an error in the final processing stage.
— Examiner report, May/June 2025, 0607/42 Q2(b) (Cambridge)
This part was initially similar to part (b) but required manipulation of algebraic fractions and was not well answered. Many scored a method mark only for setting up the correct fractions but were unable to successfully obtain the correct single fraction. Some did gain the mark for the common denominator seen.
— Examiner report, October/November 2019, 0607/41 Q9(d)(i) (Cambridge)
Very few scored full marks here as this was a follow on part from (d)(i).
— Examiner report, October/November 2019, 0607/41 Q9(d)(ii) (Cambridge)
