What examiners said
A speed of 0.6 m / s2 was the most commonly seen answer. Some candidates did not convert the weight in newtons to kilograms before performing the calculation. Occasionally there were some difficulties in rearranging the formula.
— Examiner report, May/June 2023, 0973/41 Q3(a)(ii) (Cambridge)
Kinetic energy was usually identified as the form of energy gained as the tractor accelerates.
— Examiner report, May/June 2022, 0973/31 Q12(c)(i) (Cambridge)
Many candidates failed to state the formula for kinetic energy. Amongst those candidates who could recall the formula for kinetic energy, some incorrectly rearranged the formula to determine the speed of the water flow.
