What examiners said

Of the candidates that attempted this question part, most were able to obtain the correct vector OZ. There were some sign errors involving AX and the vector a , which would unfortunately affect accuracy marks in the later stages of the question.

— Examiner report, October/November 2023, 4037/12 Q11(a) (Cambridge)

Again, there were sign errors when finding the vector OZ. The most common error was to take 1 1 OY = ( a − b ) rather than OY = ( a + b ) . 2 2

— Examiner report, October/November 2023, 4037/12 Q11(b) (Cambridge)

Many correct solutions were seen, showing a good understanding of the need to consider permutations.

— Examiner report, May/June 2023, 4037/12 Q7(b)(ii) (Cambridge)
