What examiners said

A good number of candidates were awarded full marks on this question. Most others earned some of the marks for showing a correct method for some parts of the process. That is, finding the gradient of AB, or for finding the negative reciprocal gradient for the perpendicular, or finding the midpoint of AB or for substituting their midpoint into y = mx + c. Most working was clear and easy to follow....

— Examiner report, May/June 2025, 0607/21 Q16 (Cambridge)

This was proved a straightforward vector question which produced a very high number of correct answers. Some candidates gave the reverse vector. A very small number of candidates reversed the components.

— Examiner report, May/June 2025, 0607/41 Q8 (Cambridge)

This is well known bookwork and was one of the easier questions on finding a mid-point as both points are in the first quadrant. It is useful for candidates to sketch a diagram to determine an approximate answer – few diagrams were seen. Many were successful having both coordinates correct for the single mark – mostly this was done by adding the x-coordinates and divided by 2 (and doing the same f...
