What examiners said
There were many ways in which to answer this question and a simple use of ratio was the quickest but was rarely used.
— Examiner report, October/November 2023, 0607/63 Q6(b)(i) (Cambridge)
This was done well, with most candidates giving the correct answer. The most common error was to subtract 5 from 20 to give the increase in length rather than the scale factor.
— Examiner report, May/June 2023, 0607/12 Q8 (Cambridge)
The most common wrong answer was A and F which are similar polygons not congruent ones as they are different sizes. This was one of the more challenging questions because candidates mixed up the meaning of similar with congruent.
