What examiners said

Most candidates gave the correct translation. The most common mistake was to make a sign error in the vector.

— Examiner report, February/March 2024, 0607/42 Q3(a) (Cambridge)

A large number of candidates gave all three components correctly. The most common error was to omit the negative sign for the scale factor or to give –2. There were very few candidates who gave more than one transformation.

— Examiner report, February/March 2024, 0607/42 Q3(b) (Cambridge)

There was some confusion between factors and multiples in the first two sections of this part though many knew the difference. In part (iii), most candidates correctly identified a prime number in the range though some gave values outside the range.

— Examiner report, October/November 2023, 0607/32 Q2(b) (Cambridge)
