What examiners said
There were several possible answers to this question, and some candidates successfully described two reasons why eagles could be endangered. Candidates expressed valid points in a variety of different ways, for example ‘deforestation’ gained credit for habitat destruction. Other valid points that gained credit included the loss of food sources and the introduction of a new disease.
— Examiner report, February/March 2025, 0653/32 Q1(d) (Cambridge)
Candidates were generally able to suggest at least two approaches to conservation. Candidates did not need to list more than two ways to conserve endangered species, but they often did. Candidates need to be aware that if they state more than the two ways asked for, then they might lose credit if one or both of the first two suggestions are incorrect (see the Mark Scheme, ScienceSpecific Marking P...
— Examiner report, February/March 2025, 0653/42 Q1(b) (Cambridge)
Most candidates used the graph appropriately to identify the correct year.
